What's involved?
In collaboration with our clinic’s speech pathologist and occupational therapist, our in house creative, Monica will tailor art classes to support our students through use of visual schedules and learning supports so we can maximise our student’s involvement as they work on creating an exciting and fun art piece each term.

Term 2 saw Monica teach the skills of PRINT MAKING. Term 3 will see Monica teach the skills of MIXING COLOUR and PAINTING some Picasso style self-portraits.
At the end of the year the students will have developed a piece of work to take home. The students will also have an opportunity to showcase their art work at our very own Happy Space Art Show!

About our artist
Hi! My name is Monica.
I will be your art teacher this term! I am excited to meet you and find out what we can make in class. I like taking photos, making ceramics and prints. I recently made a painting of my birds Kiki and Bean and a print of a kookaburra - I really like birds, and all animals. I have been working as a support worker for the last 12 months and have been practising art in different forms when I can for most of my life. Gaining skills in anything takes practice, and I am glad to help you begin or continue your practice at the Happy Space.

The Happy Space Allied Health is not registered as an NDIS service provider, however many of our artists use NDIS funding to access the artist workshops.
